Nurturing Hearts Play Therapy Somerset West offers caring support for children and families through play therapy, counselling, and swimming lessons.
Marzanne Strydom works as a Wellness Counsellor with a B.Ed degree earned in 2015. She also holds a postgraduate certificate in Therapeutic Play Skills from Play Therapy International, completed in 2021. In addition, she is registered with The Association for Supportive Counsellors and Holistic Practitioners (ASCHP WC22/1396).
She focuses on helping people feel supported and understood. At the same time, she brings her teaching background into her sessions. Because of this, she connects well with both children and adults. Along with counselling, she teaches swimming and stroke correction to children and adults.
Marzanne uses therapeutic play to help children understand their feelings. Through play, children can show emotions that they may struggle to explain with words. As a result, they feel safe and supported.
She also helps children work through behavioural challenges step by step. In each session, she creates a calm and nurturing space. Therefore, children can explore their thoughts freely. Over time, this process helps them build confidence and emotional strength.
Marzanne provides counselling for individuals who need emotional support. She listens carefully and offers clear guidance. In addition, she helps clients understand their thoughts and feelings better.
Because she uses a gentle and supportive approach, clients feel comfortable opening up. Furthermore, she focuses on improving both mental and emotional well-being. Each session aims to bring clarity, balance, and personal growth.
Marzanne also teaches swimming to both children and adults. She focuses on building confidence in the water from the start. At the same time, she helps improve technique through stroke correction.
She keeps lessons simple and easy to follow. As a result, learners feel more relaxed and capable. Over time, they develop stronger swimming skills and better water safety awareness.
Marzanne combines her education background with therapeutic play skills in every service she offers. Because of this, she supports both emotional and physical development. She believes in helping each person grow at their own pace.
Through play therapy, counselling, and swimming lessons, she creates a well-rounded support system. In turn, clients experience healing, growth, and improved confidence in daily life.
