Meet Larine

Larine graduated from RAU, now UJ, in 1998. She first worked as a locum optometrist before moving to the UK. There, she passed her UK qualifying exams with diagnostic privileges. She then worked for eight years in old age homes, with housebound patients, in high street practices, and at major retail chains.

In 2012, Larine opened the Tygervalley branch at the Intercare Medical and Dental Centre. Later, in 2018, ophthalmologist Dr. Francois Joubert joined the practice. He offers expert advice on eye concerns. The practice also has a fundus camera and OCT scanner to help detect abnormalities early.

Larine is married to Hendrik, and they have two children, Zanay and Henco. As a family, they enjoy an active outdoor lifestyle with camping, running, and cycling.
