About Us: Meet Pamela Holland and My Approach

At ph-therapies, I offer specialist physiotherapy services designed to meet the unique needs of infants, children, and young people. I’m Pamela Holland, a Specialist Paediatric Physiotherapist with over 20 years of experience in the NHS. Since 2002, my career has been centred on paediatrics, and I’ve had the privilege of working with the highly skilled children’s physiotherapy teams at the Royal Hospital for Sick Children in both Glasgow and Edinburgh.

I am well-versed in assessing and treating a wide range of musculoskeletal conditions, always considering the child’s developmental stage, growth, and personal goals. My approach ensures that every treatment plan is tailored to suit the child’s individual needs.

As a mother, I also deeply understand the benefits of baby massage, having personally experienced its positive impact on both my children and myself. This inspired me to complete training in baby massage, so I can share these benefits with other families.

I hold a BSc (Hons) in Physiotherapy from Glasgow Caledonian University and an MSc PG Dip in Physiotherapy from Queen Margaret University. I am registered with both the Health and Care Professions Council and the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy. It is my mission to offer a dedicated and enthusiastic service to children and young people through ph-therapies.

Services We Offer

We provide comprehensive physiotherapy services to help children achieve their full potential. Our treatments focus on musculoskeletal conditions, development, and overall well-being.

Musculoskeletal Assessment and Treatment

Our services cover a wide range of musculoskeletal conditions, including:

  • Joint and muscle pain: Addressing discomfort or limitations in movement caused by injuries or conditions.

  • Back pain: Providing treatment for children suffering from back-related problems.

  • Rehabilitation: Supporting recovery after soft tissue injuries, fractures, or surgeries.

  • Sports participation: Helping children who struggle to engage in sports or physical activities.

  • Posture and gait issues: Identifying and treating concerns related to posture or walking patterns.

Individualised Treatment Plans

After a thorough assessment, we develop a personalised treatment plan tailored to the child’s specific condition. These plans aim to improve movement, strength, and overall function.

Baby Massage Classes

In addition to physiotherapy, we offer relaxed and friendly baby massage classes. These sessions provide an opportunity for parents to bond with their babies while supporting relaxation and muscle development. Baby massage promotes better sleep, circulation, and overall development.

Support and Advice

We also offer valuable information, support, and advice to parents, helping them understand their child’s condition and how to best support their recovery at home.
