PhysiosInMotion – Sandton

About Us

Founded in 2015, PhysiosInMotion is a specialist sports and orthopaedic manipulative therapy physiotherapy practice located in the heart of Morningside, Johannesburg. We pride ourselves on providing evidence-based treatments that are tailored to the specific needs and goals of each patient.

Our approach begins with a comprehensive assessment followed by an accurate diagnosis. We understand that no two patients are alike, and thus we create individualised treatment plans designed to optimise recovery. We believe in empowering patients to take an active role in their rehabilitation to achieve long-term wellness.

As first-line healthcare providers, we are trained to assess, diagnose, and treat a wide range of conditions. No referral from a specialist or doctor is needed to see us. If a condition falls outside our scope of practice, we refer patients to the appropriate specialists. We also collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, including psychologists, doctors, sports coaches, biokineticists, and podiatrists, to ensure well-rounded care.

Our Services

At PhysiosInMotion, every new patient begins with a thorough assessment that typically lasts between 45 minutes to an hour. During this session, we identify the underlying issues and create a personalised rehabilitation programme. Follow-up sessions typically range from 30 to 45 minutes, depending on the patient’s needs.

Our physiotherapists use a variety of treatment modalities to support the healing process, including:

  • Myofascial Release: A hands-on technique to relieve muscle tightness and trigger points.
  • Joint Mobilisation and Manipulation: To improve joint mobility and reduce discomfort.
  • Dry Needling: A technique to target tight muscles and relieve pain.
  • Kinesiotaping and Strapping: To support injured areas and improve function.
  • Biofeedback: To train muscles and improve performance.
  • Posture Correction: Techniques to improve posture and prevent injury.
  • Core Activation and Strengthening: For spinal stability and overall strength.
