Prof Pieter Rousseau Fourie has been practising paediatrics for 24 years, with 22 years in private practice. Currently, he is affiliated with Cape Gate Mediclinic and also serves as the visiting paediatric consultant at Optima@RustenVrede Clinic. Prof Fourie specializes in immune deficiencies, ADHD, Tourette Syndrome, and Autism Spectrum Disorders. Furthermore, he maintains strong academic ties with the Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences, where he holds an extraordinary associate professor position in Anaesthesiology and Critical Care. He is also an adjunct professor in Mechanical and Mechatronic Engineering, supervising various research projects related to ADHD and autism.
