Hello, I’m Rebecca Scott, a Person-Centred Counsellor based in South Birmingham, offering both in-person and online therapy. My aim is to provide a safe and supportive environment where you can freely explore your thoughts, feelings, and any challenges you’re currently facing. Life can sometimes feel overwhelming, but therapy offers the opportunity to gain insight and work toward personal growth and healing.
Being a late-diagnosed Autistic and Dyslexic person, I truly understand the importance of finding a space where you can feel validated and heard. For this reason, I offer an affirming approach to therapy, particularly for individuals who are Neurodivergent, including those with ADHD. I am also GSRD (Gender, Sex and Relational Diversity) trained and fully supportive of LGBTQIA+ identities.
I am experienced in helping people navigate a variety of emotional struggles, including stress, depression, grief, and low self-esteem. With this, I focus on fostering a deeper connection with yourself, enabling you to better understand and overcome the challenges you are facing.
I offer a range of therapeutic services, all tailored to meet your unique needs. Whether you’re grappling with long-term emotional issues or simply seeking self-improvement, my services are designed to provide the support and insight necessary for your personal growth.
In our sessions, I aim to create a space of trust and empathy. This approach allows you to explore your feelings at your own pace, helping you build a better understanding of yourself and the challenges you face.
If you are struggling with anxiety or depression, my therapy can help you explore the root causes of these issues. I provide support to regain emotional balance and help you develop strategies for managing symptoms.
As a person who has lived experience with Autism and Dyslexia, I offer therapy that is both affirming and tailored for Neurodivergent individuals, including those with ADHD. My understanding of these conditions ensures that therapy is adapted to meet your specific needs.
Grief can feel isolating, and losing someone close to you is a deeply personal journey. I am here to help you process your grief, navigate the emotional challenges, and find a path toward healing and acceptance.
If you have experienced complex trauma, my approach is designed to help you heal from past wounds. Through understanding and support, we can work together to break the cycle of trauma and move towards recovery.
Relationships can often present challenges that affect our emotional well-being. I provide therapy to help you address issues such as communication difficulties, intimacy concerns, and relationship conflict, aiming to help you develop healthier, more fulfilling connections.
For those who prefer an active approach, I offer Walk and Talk Therapy. This allows you to engage in therapy while walking outdoors, combining physical movement with emotional support for a more holistic therapeutic experience.
I offer face-to-face sessions at two convenient locations:
Meridian Centre (situated between Kings Heath, Hall Green, and Moseley)
Bournville Health Hub
If you prefer the flexibility of remote sessions, I also offer Zoom consultations, providing you with the comfort and privacy of therapy from your own home. I understand that starting therapy can feel intimidating, but I am committed to making the process as easy and comfortable as possible.
If you’re ready to begin or would like to learn more about how I can support you, feel free to reach out. I am here to answer any questions and help you take the next step toward a healthier, more fulfilled life.
