About

Run Physio Portsmouth is led by Philip Coleman, an experienced runner and qualified physiotherapist with a passion for supporting runners of all levels. Philip has won county, district, and British Masters medals in road, track, and cross country events. Drawing on his extensive experience, he provides expert advice to help runners avoid injury, improve performance, and enjoy their sport safely.

Philip stays up to date with the latest research and evidence in running science and injury prevention. He has completed specialist courses such as The Running Clinic and Tom Goom’s Running Repairs, which enhance his understanding of running mechanics and rehabilitation.

He understands that runners need to know when to rest, how long injuries take to heal, and the causes behind them. Additionally, many runners seek guidance on how to run faster, run longer distances, and effectively track their progress. Philip offers practical advice on these topics, alongside expert recommendations on running equipment such as footwear, clothing, heart rate monitors, and GPS watches.
