Sandrina Haeck Clinical Psychologist Fourways offers a practical and system-based approach to help individuals and families improve their mental health.
Dr. Haeck holds qualifications from Medunsa (Hons) and NWU (MSc Clin Psych), and she is currently completing a PhD with SSA. She uses a systemic therapy approach. This method looks at the full system instead of only one person. As a result, she helps clients understand how relationships affect behaviour.
In addition, she challenges common trends in mental health care. Rather than keeping people in long-term therapy, she works to help them become more capable and independent. Therefore, clients learn to use their own strengths and resources.
Dr. Haeck completed training at Weskoppies Psychiatric Institute, Dr. George Mukhari Hospital, Central Maximum C-Max security prison, and SANCA West Rand. Because of this wide experience, she can work with complex cases across different environments.
She focuses strongly on family systems. In many cases, one person becomes the “problem child” or target patient. However, she helps families see how each member plays a role in the issue. Then, she guides them to change these patterns in a healthy way.
Dr. Haeck provides therapy that fits each person and their situation. She works with both individuals and families. Her daily work also includes crisis cases from 07:00 to 09:00 at hospitals and clinics across Gauteng.
She also consults from her office at 37 Penguine Drive, Fourways, 2055. Her office hours run from Monday to Thursday, 10:00 to 19:00. In addition, she offers telephonic consultations for clients who live abroad or cannot attend in person after the first session.
Dr. Haeck uses several proven therapy methods. Each one supports different needs:
These methods allow her to adjust treatment based on each case. As a result, clients receive focused and effective care.
Dr. Haeck is registered with several professional bodies. These include the Health Professions Council, the Psychological Society of South Africa, the South African School of Psychotherapy, IITAP, SASHA, The Wellness Institute, and MEISA.
Because of this, she stays aligned with professional standards and ongoing learning. Furthermore, she remains committed to providing practical and solution-focused therapy. Her goal is to help individuals and families improve how they relate to each other and strengthen their overall mental health.
