Suzaan Stoman has strong academic training. She completed her Baccalaureus Artium (Psychology) at the University of Pretoria in 1999. Later, she earned her Honours in B(SosSci) Psychology Cum Laude from the same university in 2003. She then completed her Masters in Psychology at the University of Johannesburg in 2005.
She is also a registered Counselling Psychologist with the Health Professions Council of South Africa (HPCSA) (PS 0102407). In addition, she holds a BHF Practice Number: 086 002 0499234.
She gained valuable experience in many settings over the years. For example, she worked on educational programme analysis at a pre-school in Soshanguve. She also provided volunteer telephone counselling with Lifeline in 2002.
In 2004, she worked in therapy and parent support at an all-girls primary school. Then, in 2005, she focused on career assessments for university students and Grade 12 learners. During the same year, she also worked at the Institute for Child and Adult Guidance. There, she provided therapy and psychological assessments.
In 2006, she completed her internship at 1 Military Hospital. She worked in paediatrics, orthopaedics, and adult therapy. Later, in 2012, she offered child therapy and advanced play therapy at NG Moreleta Park’s support centre.
