Our team of experienced clinicians is dedicated to helping individuals and couples improve their mental health and overall wellbeing through evidence-based treatments tailored to their needs.

Dr Richard Jenkinson, Clinical Psychologist and Director of Verdure Psychology, leads our clinical team. He specialises in improving mood, resilience, confidence, and self-worth. Dr Jenkinson also treats mental health conditions such as depression, social anxiety, binge-eating disorder, and obsessive-compulsive disorder. He provides therapy face-to-face in York and Heslington, as well as online across the UK, ensuring accessibility and convenience for clients.

Services

Verdure Psychology offers a comprehensive range of psychological treatments to support emotional wellbeing. Dr Jenkinson’s work focuses on evidence-based therapies designed to improve mood and tackle specific mental health challenges. He supports clients in building resilience and addressing difficulties with eating and body image.

In addition to individual therapy, Verdure Psychology features specialised couples and family therapy led by Lorna Hunter. Lorna provides couples counselling, family therapy, and individual work, including Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing (EMDR), a proven trauma-focused therapy. She offers face-to-face sessions in Heslington and online therapy nationwide. Lorna works with clients aged 16 and over and is registered with BUPA, allowing clients to use private health insurance.

Dr Alice Reid Williams also forms part of the team, offering psychological therapy through an online service across the UK. She supports clients dealing with trauma, relationship difficulties, low mood, and issues such as self-criticism, shame, or guilt. Additionally, Alice helps those struggling with general life challenges, providing a compassionate space for reflection and growth.
