Wakefield Sports and Exercise Medicine Clinic helps people stay active—whether you’re a professional athlete or just want to move with ease again. Led by skilled physiotherapist Michael Woodcock, our team supports clients through injury, rehabilitation, and long-term wellness.
Founded in 1992 by renowned sports medicine expert Dr Brian Sando OAM, the clinic has a long history of treating elite athletes. However, our care extends far beyond the sports field. We help everyday people recover from injuries, improve their movement, and regain confidence in their bodies.
In 2020, we moved to a state-of-the-art facility at Calvary Adelaide Hospital. This location allows patients to access a wide range of services, including radiology, pathology, emergency care, and rehabilitation—all under one roof. We also operate clinics at Next Gen in North Adelaide and Dulwich Family Practice, making our services accessible across the city.
Our goal is to get you moving again—safely, effectively, and confidently. Services at Wakefield Sports Clinic include:
Sports Physiotherapy
We treat acute injuries, overuse conditions, and post-match soreness with a hands-on approach.
Musculoskeletal Physiotherapy
Support for neck pain, back strain, joint problems, and general stiffness.
Rehabilitation Programmes
Tailored recovery plans help you return to work, sport, or daily life as quickly and safely as possible.
