Alison qualified as a clinical psychologist with an M.Soc.Sci. (Clin. Psych.) (cum laude) from Rhodes University. She also has a diploma in Business Management from Damelin. She is registered with the Health Professions Council and the Board of Health Care Funders as a clinical psychologist and is a member of the Psychological Association of South Africa (PsySSA) and of Coaches and Mentors of South Africa (COMENSA).

Alison has been practicing as a clinical psychologist since 2004, as an executive, leadership & life coach since 2007, as a facilitator and Deep Democracy practitioner since 2006, and as a Deep Democracy trainer since 2008. She has also lectured in psychology at the University of Cape Town and has worked as a research psychologist with special interests in trauma, community psychology, organisational consultation, professional development, women in leadership, and women’s mental health. She has previously worked as a personnel consultant and as a scriptwriter on prosocial projects such as Soul City.

Alison is passionate about working with her clients to develop their potential for optimal health, productivity, and fulfillment.
