About

Genna Hewitson is an Educational Psychologist registered with the Health Professions Council of South Africa (HPCSA). She obtained her Masters degree in Social Sciences (Educational Psychology) from the University of KwaZulu-Natal in 2020. Genna works as an onsite Educational Psychologist at a High School in Randburg and runs a private practice in Bryanston, Sandton, in the afternoons.

Before her Masters, Genna completed her Honours in Educational Psychology at the University of Johannesburg in 2016. She gained experience as a Registered Counselor at various schools and volunteered at organizations such as Childline and TLC Orphanage. Genna also holds a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and Anthropology and a Post Graduate Diploma (PGCE) in High School Education from the University of Witwatersrand.

As an Educational Psychologist, Genna aims to empower her clients with the tools and skills to cope with personal life struggles and challenges. She provides a safe space for clients to express their feelings and thoughts while offering support and guidance.
