Dr Zubair Ahmed GP Sheffield welcomes you to Carrfield Medical Centre, part of the Heeley Plus Primary Care Network. Our team provides patient-focused care for individuals and families across Sheffield. We ensure that your health needs are always our top priority.
To schedule an appointment, use our secure online form. This remains the quickest way to reach our clinical team. However, if you have accessibility needs, you may call us directly at 0114 258 4724. For others, our receptionist may advise you to complete the form online.
Please do not use this form in medical emergencies. In critical cases, call 999 or NHS 111 immediately for guidance.
If you feel unwell and require same-day care, call us directly. One of our doctors will discuss your symptoms and decide the best course of action. If appropriate, you’ll be given a same-day appointment.
For routine matters like vaccinations or smear tests, call the surgery to book or reschedule your appointment. Additionally, if you’ve booked using a self-booking link, you may change or cancel the appointment online up to 12 hours beforehand.
Home visits are strictly for patients who are housebound or severely unwell. For emergency visits, please call before 10:30 AM. This allows our team to plan efficiently and prioritise the most urgent cases.
For example, terminally ill patients or those with significant mobility issues may qualify for home visits. Conversely, if you can safely travel, we encourage visiting the surgery.
When we are closed, call NHS 111 for advice. This free service is available 24/7 for non-life-threatening issues. For serious or life-threatening conditions, always dial 999 immediately.
Conditions requiring urgent A&E care include:
Suspected heart attack
Chest pain
Stroke symptoms
Breathing difficulties
Severe injury or unconsciousness
Remain calm, assist the person, and avoid offering food or drink unless advised.
A&E should only be used for severe emergencies. For example, deep wounds or fractures may require urgent attention. However, if they are not life-threatening and the patient can travel, A&E is appropriate.
On the other hand, NHS 111 can help you decide where to go if you’re unsure.
For general health information, visit the NHS website. It provides trusted advice and guidance for a wide range of symptoms and conditions.
