Book an Appointment with Dr A Afzal GP Sheffield

Booking an appointment is easy using our secure online form. It’s the quickest way to contact our clinical team. However, if you have accessibility needs, please call 0114 258 4724. Conversely, if you can access the form, our reception may kindly redirect you to use it.

Please don’t use the form in emergencies. Instead, call 999 or NHS 111 for urgent care.

Urgent and Routine Appointments Available

If you feel unwell and need to speak with a doctor, call us right away. A GP will assess your symptoms and provide advice. If required, you’ll be offered a same-day appointment.

Routine care, such as health checks and vaccinations, can be booked by phone. Additionally, if you’ve used a self-booking link, you can cancel or amend your appointment online—up to 12 hours before.

However, if less than 12 hours remain, you’ll need to call the surgery to make changes.

Home Visits by Dr A Afzal GP Sheffield and the Team

We offer home visits for patients who are housebound or severely ill. For this reason, please contact the surgery before 10:30 AM to help us schedule efficiently.

Examples of patients eligible for home visits include those who are terminally ill or too frail to travel. However, if you can come to the clinic safely, we encourage in-person appointments for faster care.

After-Hours and Emergency Advice

If we’re closed and you need medical advice, call NHS 111. This service is free, available 24/7, and provides help for non-urgent situations. However, if you’re facing a life-threatening issue, always dial 999 immediately.

Emergencies include:

  • Chest pain or suspected heart attack

  • Severe breathing issues

  • Stroke symptoms

  • Major injuries or unconsciousness

Remain calm and assist as needed, but avoid offering food or drink unless instructed.

When You Should Visit A&E

A&E is intended for serious and life-threatening conditions only. For example, heavy bleeding, deep wounds, or broken bones may require emergency care. On the other hand, for minor conditions, your GP or NHS 111 will provide faster, more appropriate help.
