Niel Victor is a registered clinical and research psychologist based in Cape Town. With a background in market research, he transitioned to clinical psychology following his recovery from cancer in 2010. His research has focused on the experiences of LGB individuals in South Africa, and he is currently working on his doctorate exploring the training and competencies of South African psychology professionals in affirmatively working with LGB people.
Niel is a member of the PsySSA LGBTI Human Rights Project and has contributed to the development of practice guidelines for psychologists working with sexual and gender-diverse individuals.
