About 

Dr Sheryl Smithies, a skilled dentist, has relocated to Cape Town from Durban, where she practised in private practice since completing her community service in 2005. Mentored by Dr Smith in Musgrave, she gained expertise in general dentistry, ranging from restorations to more complex procedures such as root canal therapy, crowns, bridges, and prosthetic work.

In 2011, Dr Smithies opened her own practice, The Smile Emporium, where she further honed her skills, particularly in aesthetic dentistry. Over the years, she has become proficient in dental implants, smile design, and facial aesthetics through advanced training and internships.

Dr Smithies offers a wide range of services, including:

• General Dentistry: Providing treatments such as restorations, crowns, bridges, and root canal therapy.

• Implantology: Specialising in dental implants, including minimally invasive techniques integrated with smile design.

• Facial Aesthetics: Administering treatments such as Botox, dermal fillers, micro-needling, vampire facials, and thread lifting (Aptos and Princess methods).

• Smile Design: Using the principles of Digital Smile Design (DSD) to plan and create aesthetically driven treatments.

• Full Mouth Rehabilitation: Combining dental and facial aesthetics to restore both function and appearance.

Additional Information

Dr Smithies has a strong passion for continuous education, attending advanced courses in both dental and facial aesthetics. She has completed training in facial aesthetics, botulinum toxin, dermal fillers, and implantology. She is an accredited practitioner in thread lifting (Aptos and Princess techniques) and is committed to offering minimally invasive treatments.

Dr Smithies is a member of the South African Dental Association (SADA) and the Health Professions Council of South Africa (HPCSA). She is excited to be joining Enamel Clinics and looks forward to providing high-quality, minimally invasive aesthetic dental and facial treatments in a caring, professional setting.

In her free time, Dr Smithies enjoys spending time with her family and constantly seeks to improve her skills for the benefit of her patients.
