Dr Anton Grotius – Prosthodontist

Dr Grotius is a highly accomplished prosthodontist with a passion for providing top-notch dental care. He received his BChD degree in 1996 and worked as a general dental surgeon in private practice in Brighton (UK) for five years. In 1998, he earned the Dip(Odont) in Maxillo-Facial and Oral Surgery with distinction.

In 2001, Dr Grotius returned to South Africa to further his studies in prosthodontics, completing his specialisation in 2005. Since then, he has practised privately in Pretoria (Lynnwood), gaining a reputation for his expertise and dedication to patient care.

Dr Grotius actively participates in professional organisations, including the South African Dental Association (SADA) and the Association of Prosthodontics of South Africa (APSA). He is also involved in the Pretoria Prosthodontic Study Group and serves as the study club director for the International Team of Implantology (ITI). As a national speaker for Nobel Biocare and ITI, he remains at the forefront of advancements in diagnostic and treatment tools.

Beyond dentistry, Dr Grotius has a keen interest in digital dental photography, Cone Beam technology, and new developments in the field. When not in the office, he enjoys mountain biking, photography, and spending time with his wife and four boys.
