Cornelia Huysamen at Family Physiotherapy – Alberton

About Us

Located in Alberton, our practice has been offering comprehensive physiotherapy treatments since 2014, and we have grown steadily into a trusted provider of healthcare services.

We understand the importance of offering the latest techniques and equipment to help restore muscle and joint functionality. Our physiotherapists, who are fully qualified and registered with the Health Professions Council of South Africa (HPCSA) and the South African Society of Physiotherapy (SASP), use evidence-based treatments to speed up the healing process, reduce pain, and improve your overall health.

We specialise in a wide range of treatments and conditions, and we are proud to offer our services without requiring a referral letter, as physiotherapists are first-line healthcare providers.

Our Services

Muscular & Joint Health

Our physiotherapists work with patients suffering from muscle and joint injuries, using treatments that aid in pain relief and functional recovery. These treatments are designed to restore movement, alleviate pain, and prevent future injuries.

Conditions we treat include:

  • Sciatica
  • Scoliosis
  • Whiplash
  • Chronic pain
  • Fibromyalgia
  • Joint stiffness
  • Osteoarthritis & rheumatoid arthritis
  • Sports injuries
  • Biomechanical issues
  • Sprains & strains

Neurological Conditions

We also specialise in the rehabilitation of patients recovering from neurological conditions. Whether it’s a stroke, brain injury, or other neurological issues, we work closely with each patient to help them regain functional movement and independence.

Post-Operative Treatments

Physiotherapy is an essential part of the recovery process after surgery. We help our patients manage pain, improve mobility, and regain strength through personalised post-operative rehabilitation plans.

Respiratory Conditions

We offer treatments for patients suffering from respiratory conditions such as chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), asthma, and pneumonia, aiming to improve lung function and ease breathing difficulties.

Women’s Health

Our team has expertise in treating various women’s health issues, including pelvic floor dysfunction, pre- and post-natal care, and general musculoskeletal concerns related to women’s health.
