Amy Moroz is a Clinical Psychologist with years of experience in treating psychological disorders and supporting general mental health. She is committed to helping her clients overcome challenges and achieve a fulfilling life through professional therapy. Amy believes in the value of having a skilled psychologist by your side as you navigate personal growth.
Previously, Amy worked for seven years at Homewood Health Centre in Guelph, Ontario. There, she specialised in treating anxiety and depression within the Integrated Mood & Anxiety Program. Her expertise spans various treatment techniques, with a strong focus on Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) and mindfulness meditation, both proven to help improve emotional regulation and reduce stress.
Amy now provides online therapy across Ontario, including Guelph, Kitchener, Waterloo, Cambridge, Milton, Burlington, and other regions. As a registered psychologist, she offers a free 15-minute consultation to new clients. This ensures a tailored approach that meets each individual’s needs and goals.
Amy Moroz offers individual therapy for adults. Her approach is tailored to each client, using a combination of therapeutic techniques that best address their unique concerns.
CBT is one of Amy’s primary approaches. It focuses on helping clients identify and change negative thought patterns and behaviours. By doing so, clients can improve their mental health and make lasting changes in their lives. Amy uses CBT to treat anxiety, depression, and other emotional challenges.
For clients who have experienced trauma, Amy offers Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT). This therapeutic method helps clients process and reframe thoughts related to trauma. The goal is to help individuals regain control of their lives and heal from past experiences.
Amy also specialises in mindfulness meditation, which plays a key role in managing emotional regulation and stress. She has been practising Vipassana meditation for over 20 years and integrates these techniques into her therapy. Mindfulness has been proven to reduce anxiety and enhance well-being, making it an effective tool for mental health.
Amy Moroz holds degrees from York University and the University of Toronto. Over the years, she has worked in various settings, including private practice, forensic environments, and hospitals. Throughout her career, she has integrated her passion for neuroscience with psychotherapy. This led her to develop “Mind Training,” a method combining mindfulness and neuroscience to improve mental health.
In addition to her clinical work, Amy is a seasoned mindfulness educator. She received professional training in Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) and Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy (MBCT) and began teaching mindfulness in 2001. Amy’s approach draws on her extensive personal practice and training with renowned meditation teachers from around the world.
Amy is dedicated to helping her clients make meaningful, lasting changes. Her therapy services are designed to guide individuals on their journey toward emotional and psychological growth. If you are seeking support, contact Amy today for a free consultation.
