Nadine Bloomfield Cognitive Behavioural Therapy Bradford provides Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) for adults and young people aged 16 and above. Seeking support can feel overwhelming, but taking this step is an important part of your journey.
Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) is an evidence-based treatment for many mental health challenges. It effectively helps with depression, anxiety, obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD), post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), and low self-esteem. CBT also addresses situation-based difficulties, making it a versatile and practical approach.
CBT focuses on thoughts, emotions, physical sensations, and behaviours. These elements influence each other, shaping how we experience situations. Therapy helps identify unhelpful patterns and replace them with healthier alternatives. We will explore your difficulties together, develop strategies, and implement meaningful changes.
Sessions involve assessing your thoughts and behaviours in different situations. We will determine whether these responses help or hinder you. Practical exercises encourage real-world application, reinforcing positive changes. Out-of-session tasks, often called homework, strengthen these new patterns in daily life.
Having experienced therapy firsthand, I understand both the struggles before seeking help and the transformation that good therapy brings. This perspective allows me to approach each client with empathy, insight, and professionalism. I deliver therapy in a supportive and structured environment, ensuring that every session is meaningful and goal-driven.
I am a fully qualified and accredited British Association for Behavioural and Cognitive Psychotherapies (BABCP) Psychotherapist. This accreditation confirms my extensive training and expertise in CBT. My registration number (140569) is available on the BABCP website. Additionally, I am a trained group therapy practitioner and supervisor, supporting other therapists in their professional development.
Since 2016, I have worked within the Increasing Access to Psychological Therapies (IAPT) programme, delivering targeted CBT across Northern England. My previous practice in Glasgow involved private therapy, NHS collaboration, and working with schools to provide accessible mental health support.
Before becoming a therapist, I worked extensively in Third Sector organisations and charities. My experience includes health promotion, social deprivation projects, and supporting individuals diagnosed with blood cancer. These roles strengthened my ability to provide compassionate, person-centred therapy.
My practice is based at the Victoria Therapy Centre in Saltaire, where I offer one-on-one CBT and tailored group sessions.
