Physiotherapy and Sports Injury Centre – Peterborough

About

The Physiotherapy and Sports Injury Centre in Peterborough is led by Peter Corder, a Chartered Physiotherapist and Sports Therapist with over 21 years of experience. He specialises in musculoskeletal conditions and sports injury rehabilitation.

Peter has spent eight years providing treatment for youth, reserve, and first teams at Peterborough United Football Club. He also worked with Cambridge City Football Club as First Team Sports Therapist and has supported major sporting events, including the London Marathon. In 1999, he provided sports massage for the Zimbabwe World Cup Cricket squad.

His NHS experience includes working in musculoskeletal outpatient departments, lower limb rehabilitation, and orthopaedic wards at Peterborough District Hospital. More recently, he worked at the private Fitzwilliam Hospital as a Senior Physiotherapist. There, he treated patients with general injuries, sports-related issues, and those recovering from orthopaedic surgery.

Peter’s career as a professional footballer – playing for Tottenham Hotspur, Peterborough United, and Colchester United – gives him a personal understanding of injury and recovery. This background helps him relate closely to the challenges athletes face when injured.
