Dr Kim Pedro-Beech – Maxillo-facial and Oral Surgeon – Brackenfell practices at Cure Day Hospitals – Bellville, consulting at Cape Gate Corner Consulting Rooms. She completed her BChD at the University of the Western Cape in 2008 and thereafter served as a Dental Officer in the Maxillofacial and Oral Surgery Department at Kimberley Hospital Complex in 2010. Moreover, she became a clinical lecturer in Oral Surgery at UWC in 2013, sharing her expertise with aspiring dentists .

Between 2017 and 2022, Dr Pedro-Beech undertook specialist training at Groote Schuur and Tygerberg Hospitals, mastering complex orthognathic surgery, traumatology, implantology, and facial aesthetics. Consequently, she earned her MChD in Maxillofacial and Oral Surgery from UWC in April 2022, followed by FCMFOS (SA) fellowship status in June 2022 . Thus, she stands as the first—and currently only—female Maxillofacial and Oral Surgeon in the private sector of the Western Cape.

A firm believer in lifelong learning, Dr Pedro-Beech has attended numerous advanced courses and contributed to peer-reviewed publications. Furthermore, she remains deeply committed to professional development and mentorship, inspiring young women to pursue surgical careers. Outside of clinical practice, she is an avid mountain biker and a dedicated wife and mother, which enriches her empathetic approach to patient care.
