The Dizziness Physio – Geelong

Specialist Care for Dizziness, Vertigo and Balance Disorders

About

Feeling dizzy, off balance, or like the world is spinning? You’re not alone — and you’re not without options. At The Dizziness Physio in Geelong, we focus on helping people living with dizziness, vertigo, and balance problems. These symptoms can feel scary, frustrating, and sometimes hard to explain. But the good news? They can often be treated.

Many of these symptoms are linked to the vestibular system — a tiny but mighty part of the inner ear that helps control your balance and movement. When this system isn’t working properly, it can cause dizziness, nausea, unsteadiness, and even falls. That’s where vestibular physiotherapy comes in.

Our lead physiotherapist, Joe Pashley, has specialised training in assessing and treating vestibular dysfunction. Whether your symptoms are sudden or long-lasting, mild or severe, we’re here to get to the root of the problem and help you feel steady again.

We see clients across the Surf Coast in Victoria and are proud to offer a caring, down-to-earth service with a strong focus on recovery, education, and long-term management.

Services

At The Dizziness Physio, we treat a wide range of vestibular conditions using proven methods tailored to your needs. Our treatments are safe, non-invasive, and designed to ease your symptoms while restoring your balance and confidence.

Common conditions we treat include:

  • Benign Paroxysmal Positional Vertigo (BPPV) – One of the most common causes of vertigo. Easily treated using canalith repositioning manoeuvres.

  • Vestibular Neuronitis – Sudden dizziness from an inner ear infection. We help with recovery through gradual balance retraining.

  • Cervicogenic Dizziness – Dizziness linked to neck problems. Treated with gentle exercises and movement correction.

  • Labyrinthitis – Inflammation of the inner ear, often after a virus. We support recovery with vestibular rehab and education.

  • Meniere’s Disease – Chronic inner ear disorder causing pressure, hearing changes and vertigo. We offer support through balance training and symptom management.

  • Vestibular Migraine – Dizziness and vertigo linked to migraines. We provide advice, movement strategies, and ongoing support.

Treatment may include:

  • Vestibular rehabilitation therapy

  • Canalith repositioning manoeuvres (such as the Epley)

  • Balance and movement retraining

  • Education to help you manage flare-ups and prevent setbacks
