Corlene Schnetler Periodontist Newlands provides specialised care in periodontics and implantology, with a strong focus on patient care, prevention, education, and modern treatment.
Dr Corlene Schnetler joined Cape Periodontal Specialists as a partner in 2019. She has a strong interest in periodontics, oral medicine, implantology, training, and education. Through lecturing and ongoing education, she keeps up with the latest trends and technology. As a result, she can provide informed care to her patients.
Dr Schnetler completed her undergraduate dental training at the University of Pretoria. She later specialised in Oral Medicine and Periodontics. She completed a four-year full-time programme and earned her degree with distinction (Cum Laude).
As a clinical registrar, Dr Schnetler facilitated several implantology courses at the University of Pretoria. In 2018, she became a Fellow of the International Team for Implantology (ITI). Since then, she has regularly spoken at national and international conferences on dental implantology.
She also takes an active role in the training and education of dentists. In addition, she belongs to the Women in Implantology Network (WIN). She serves on the task force for Young ITI South Africa and has organised many educational events since 2018.
Dr Schnetler currently lectures at the Bridge Programme and the Implant Aesthetic Academy. Therefore, her work in education remains an important part of her professional role.
