Dr Dawie Peens Pediatrician Kimberley has cared for children in the Northern Cape since 2013. He is also a parent, so he understands how much a child’s health and happiness matter. He supports children through every stage of growth, from newborns to teenagers. He follows a simple belief. He helps and comforts while God brings healing.
Dr Dawie Peens Pediatrician Kimberley cares for infants, children, and teens with a strong focus on trust and kindness. He treats each child as unique. Children are not small adults, so they need care that suits their stage of growth. Their bodies and minds change fast, so their care must change too. Because of this, he gives close attention to each child’s needs. He also builds strong relationships with families, so they feel safe and understood.
Dr Peens completed his schooling at Sannieshof Hoërskool. After that, he earned his M.B.Ch.B degree from the University of the Free State. He then completed his internship and community service. Soon after, he obtained a Diploma in Child Health from the Colleges of Medicine of South Africa. He continued his studies and specialised in Pediatrics and Child Health at the same university. As a result, he received his Magister in Medicine degree. His training gives him the skills to care for children with confidence and care.
Dr Dawie Peens Pediatrician Kimberley focuses on both children and their families. He comforts parents while he treats their children. Because he is married to his varsity sweetheart, Janine, and has three children, he understands family life well. This helps him relate to parents and guide them with care. He listens closely and explains things in a simple way. Therefore, families feel more confident during visits.
Families can rely on a wide range of services at the practice. These include cesarean section and newborn attendance, as well as healthy child visits and regular check-ups. He also provides routine immunisations and neonatal care for both term and premature babies. In addition, he offers emergency consultations at the rooms or hospital. He assesses ADHD and school performance when needed. He also manages routine baby follow-ups, hospital visits, and chronic medication prescriptions. Because of this, families can access full care in one place.
Dr Dawie Peens Pediatrician Kimberley supports every step of a child’s health journey. He combines medical knowledge with understanding and faith. He believes that no child should suffer. Early care helps build a strong base for lifelong health. For this reason, he focuses on early checks and ongoing support. He also works closely with parents to keep children healthy.
The practice is in Royldene, Kimberley, at the Lenmed Royal Hospital and Heart Centre. The space feels warm and child-friendly. Families feel welcome from the moment they arrive. In addition, the team ensures that each visit is calm and clear. Parents receive guidance, and children feel at ease during their care.
