About Dr. Kevin Lentin

Hello, and welcome to my practice! I’m Dr. Kevin Lentin, a chiropractor with over 38 years of experience. I’ve treated more than 35,000 patients during my career. My journey began in Zambia and took me across various parts of the world, including Zimbabwe, Durban, and Marietta, Georgia, USA, where I studied chiropractic. In 1985, I opened my practice in Cape Town, where I’ve had the privilege of helping countless people restore their health.

I hold a degree in psychology and a chiropractic qualification, with additional training in Functional Medicine. This holistic approach allows me to treat patients from multiple perspectives. I focus on musculoskeletal health, functional wellness, and psycho-emotional health. My goal is not only to relieve pain but also to empower patients with the knowledge to maintain their well-being.

Services Offered

Chiropractic Adjustments
Chiropractic adjustments are central to my practice. These adjustments help restore spinal alignment, improve joint mobility, and reduce pain. By addressing misalignments, I help your body heal and function at its best.

Pain Management and Treatment
I specialise in treating various conditions such as neck and back pain, sciatica, tension headaches, migraines, and whiplash. My approach to pain management involves a multi-phase treatment plan tailored to each patient’s needs.

Graston Technique & Myofascial Release
These advanced techniques help treat soft tissue injuries like muscle strains and ligament sprains. The Graston Technique breaks down scar tissue, while myofascial release improves circulation, speeding up recovery.

Functional Medicine & Nutritional Support
I offer nutritional guidance and personalised supplement recommendations to support your health. By integrating my knowledge of nutrition with chiropractic care, I address the root causes of imbalances in the body.

Postural and Ergonomic Advice
I educate patients on proper posture and ergonomics to avoid injury. Whether it’s adjusting your work setup or teaching you stretching exercises, I provide tools to keep your body healthy and strong.

Additional Information

The Three Phases of Care

To ensure the best results, I follow a structured, three-phase care system:

  1. Acute Phase Care
This phase focuses on reducing pain and inflammation. Treatment typically involves 2-3 visits per week to improve mobility and reduce discomfort.

  2. Corrective Phase Care
Once pain is under control, we move to the corrective phase. Treatment frequency decreases to once a week, and we incorporate exercises and lifestyle changes for long-term improvement.

  3. Wellness Phase Care
Some patients choose to continue care on a maintenance basis. This phase typically involves visits every 4-6 weeks to prevent relapses, reduce the risk of arthritis, and maintain flexibility.

Why Chiropractic Care?

Chiropractic care is about more than pain relief. It’s about improving overall health by ensuring that your spine and nervous system function properly. A well-aligned spine supports the nervous system, which in turn helps the body heal naturally, manage stress, and perform better.

What to Expect During Your Visit

Your first visit will include a detailed medical history and a thorough examination. I will assess your spine’s alignment, your range of motion, and muscle tone. Based on my findings, I will create a treatment plan that may include adjustments, myofascial release, and nutritional advice tailored to your needs.
