Since 2012, Dr van Niekerk has run his Ballito practice. He also opened his Umhlanga practice in 2014. Since then, he has worked to improve the dental experience for his patients. His practices use digital dentistry, modern technology and advanced techniques. As a result, patients can receive high-quality dental care.

Dr van Niekerk mainly focuses on dental rehabilitation and implant dentistry. He has also completed advanced international training. His courses include training at the University of Bern, the University of Iceland and the Implantology Institute in Lisbon, Portugal.
