We are excited to welcome Dr Seugnet Zietsman to our team at Eversdal Orthodontics. Having gained valuable experience at Hugo Orthodontics in Johannesburg, Dr Seugnet brings fresh perspectives and expertise that will enrich our practice.

Moreover, Dr Seugnet will continue the proud legacy of over 30 years of orthodontic care in our community. She will begin seeing patients on 6 January 2025, and we look forward to the positive impact she will undoubtedly make.

We offer a wide range of orthodontic services, ensuring that we meet your unique needs:

• Fixed Braces: These braces remain attached to your teeth to effectively align them. We offer both metal and ceramic braces—children often choose metal, while adults prefer the more discreet ceramic option.
• Clear Aligner Treatment: This option is both quick and subtle, ideal for adults. You can choose from two excellent options:
  • Invisalign Clear Aligners
  • Spark Clear Aligners
• Retainers: After your orthodontic treatment, retainers are essential to keep your teeth in their new position.
  • Fixed Retainers: A wire bonded to the back of your teeth, providing long-term retention.
  • Removable Retainers: A wire and acrylic option that you can easily remove for cleaning.
• Removable Braces: These are great for minor tooth alignment needs. They consist of a plastic plate and wires that you can remove for eating and cleaning.
  • Functional Appliances: These appliances stimulate jaw growth and should be worn full-time for optimal results.
  • Removable Plates: These are used for minor tooth movement or arch expansion and can be removed for cleaning.

Additional Information

Dr Seugnet’s educational journey began with a Bachelor of Dental Surgery from the University of the Western Cape in 2020. Her passion for orthodontics led her to pursue a Postgraduate Diploma in Interceptive Orthodontics, and she is excited to start her MSc in Orthodontics in 2025.

Furthermore, Dr Seugnet spent the last two years refining her skills at a leading orthodontic practice in Johannesburg, under the mentorship of Dr André Hugo. She specialises in both traditional braces and modern aligner systems, providing customised treatment plans for each patient.

In addition to her extensive training, Dr Seugnet is committed to lifelong learning. She regularly attends courses and conferences to stay at the forefront of orthodontic care. Outside of work, she enjoys music, cooking, and hiking, maintaining a healthy work-life balance.
