Homa Arshad Orthopaedic Surgeon London leads a modern, patient-focused practice in primary, complex, and revision hip and knee arthroplasty surgery. She also specializes in pelvic and acetabular trauma. Dr. Arshad thrives on challenging and unusual cases while never losing sight of the patient’s perspective. Her approach ensures every concern—big or small—is treated with care, urgency, and collaboration.
Dr. Arshad graduated from Cambridge University and completed her surgical training on the renowned Percivall Pott Rotation. During her medical studies, she gained valuable international experience in New York, California, and Salvador, Brazil. These experiences shaped her holistic approach and reinforced her commitment to evidence-based, globally informed care.
To refine her skills in revision hip arthroplasty, she undertook a prestigious fellowship in Norfolk under John Nolan, former president of the British Hip Society. Her training also included high-level fellowships in Germany with Professor Michael Raschke and in Denmark with Professor Kjeld Sobelle, a pioneer in minimally invasive periacetabular osteotomy. As the pelvic and acetabular fellow at Barts Health, she further strengthened her capabilities in trauma and arthroplasty-based reconstruction.
In addition to clinical excellence, Dr. Arshad plays a prominent role in surgical education. She is an ATLS instructor and contributes nationally to instructor development. Her faculty roles span across AO, the Orthopaedic Trauma Society, and the European Pelvic Course. At Queen Mary University of London, she serves as an Honorary Senior Clinical Lecturer, guiding future surgeons through the MSc in International Orthopaedic Trauma Sciences.
Dr. Arshad actively promotes safe, inclusive environments in surgery. She leads advocacy efforts within the Working Party against Sexual Misconduct in Surgery. Her dedication extends to research, where her key interests include pelvic and acetabular trauma, patient outcomes, and enhanced recovery strategies. Her work not only improves surgical results but also uplifts standards in patient care environments.
