Dr Jonathan Cohen

Dr Jonathan Cohen was born in Cape Town and matriculated from Herzlia High School in 1981. He qualified as a dentist at Stellenbosch University in 1987. After that, he spent two years practising in the SADF and managed several dental surgeries in the Northern Cape.

In 1990, Dr Cohen opened his first private practice in Cape Town’s city centre. Then, in 1994, he opened the Milnerton practice with Dr David Sheinbar. Since 1999, he has worked exclusively at the Milnerton practice.

Dr Cohen holds a postgraduate diploma in Paediatric Dentistry from Stellenbosch University. He has also trained undergraduate students in this field. His special interest is paediatric dentistry. He lives in Milnerton with his wife, Sharyn, and their two children, Alex and Zac. He also coaches junior soccer in the Table View area.

iTeeth Dentist Milnerton – Dr David Sheinbar

Dr David Sheinbar was born in Cape Town and matriculated at Herzlia High School. He earned his Dentistry degree from the University of the Witwatersrand in 1988. After graduating, he served as a Medical Lieutenant at 2 Military Hospital in Wynberg. He was newly married to his wife, Mandy, and they have three children: Michaela, Nathan, and Devin.

In 1990, Dr Sheinbar opened his first private practice in Cape Town’s city centre. He then co-founded the Milnerton practice with Dr Jonathan Cohen in 1994. In 2003, he completed a Post-Graduate Diploma in Advanced Clinical Dentistry at Stellenbosch University with distinction.

His key interests include Implants, Endodontics, and Cosmetic Dentistry. He also works to prevent tooth structure damage from grinding and chemical erosion caused by acidic drinks. Furthermore, he is involved in developing a mandibular repositioning device designed to reduce snoring in 80% of sufferers.

Outside dentistry, Dr Sheinbar enjoys golf, running, gym, music, and gardening. He also supports his sons in their sporting activities. He is the President of the BNI Ratanga Chapter.
