Janine Physiotherapist Meadowridge provides experienced, evidence-based physiotherapy through Movewell Physiotherapy, with over 20 years of experience helping patients improve movement, manage pain, and recover from injuries.
Janine, the founder of Movewell Physiotherapy, is a dedicated and experienced physiotherapist. She graduated with a BSc (Honours) in Physiotherapy from the University of Cape Town in 2002. Since then, she has built her experience in both public and private healthcare settings. She also gained international experience in the United Kingdom.
Her approach focuses on movement control and dysfunction. She believes these areas play an important role in reducing pain, managing injuries, and preventing future problems. In addition, Janine keeps her knowledge up to date with the latest research. Therefore, she uses evidence-based treatment to support effective care. Her passion for physiotherapy also extends into her personal life. As a married mother of two boys, they motivate her to stay active and healthy.
Movewell Physiotherapy offers a wide range of services to improve movement, relieve pain, and restore function. Each treatment takes a holistic approach and suits the patient’s specific needs. The aim is to support long-term results.
Janine provides an in-depth assessment of movement patterns to find dysfunction or restrictions. She focuses on the root causes of pain and movement limits. She also provides a clear and thorough diagnosis to guide the treatment plan.
Movewell Physiotherapy uses hands-on treatment to promote healing and restore function. Treatment options include:
Rehabilitation also includes post-operative care after total hip or knee replacements, spinal surgeries, and shoulder procedures. Janine creates tailored plans to support recovery and a return to daily activities. Home exercise programs also help reinforce treatment and support healing.
Movewell Physiotherapy treats many musculoskeletal conditions, including neck and back pain, peripheral joint pain in the shoulders, hips, knees and ankles, tendinopathies, muscle strains, tension headaches, sport-related overuse injuries, and general mobility issues. Sport-related injuries include shin splints, groin pain, and rotator cuff injuries.
Janine also provides workstation assessments to reduce strain and help prevent injury. She gives tailored advice on workstation set-up and posture.
During your first visit, Janine assesses your movement and identifies dysfunction or pain-related issues. Please wear comfortable clothing, such as shorts, so she can clearly assess your body movements. After the assessment, she explains the findings and creates an individualised treatment plan. She also answers questions and helps you understand your condition and treatment options.
Janine and her team provide high-quality, evidence-based care. They are registered with the HPCSA (Health Professions Council of South Africa) and HCPCUK (Health and Care Professions Council in the UK). These registrations ensure that their services meet professional standards.
At Movewell Physiotherapy, the team values strong and trusting patient relationships. Whether you have an injury, are recovering from surgery, or want to prevent future problems, their personalised approach supports better movement and overall well-being.
