About Us
Established in 1944 as the Johannesburg Child Guidance Clinic, the Johannesburg Parent and Child Counselling Centre has grown to provide comprehensive counselling and guidance services for families facing emotional and developmental challenges. With locations in Soweto and Parktown, our services are available throughout Gauteng, focusing on strengthening and preserving family life in line with modern child and family care philosophy and the Children’s Act of South Africa.

- Family Counselling: Support for families experiencing challenges such as marital issues, divorce, separation, and custody conflicts.
- Child and Adolescent Therapy: Addressing emotional and developmental difficulties in children and teens, including anxiety, depression, and behavioural issues.
- Grief and Bereavement Counselling: Helping individuals and families cope with the loss of a loved one.
- Parenting Support: Guidance and strategies for parents dealing with parenting difficulties, particularly in the context of psycho-social issues such as HIV/AIDS and poverty.
