Julie Shill Counsellor Glenhazel

Julie Shill is a registered counsellor with an extensive background in counselling and psychology.

She has worked at the Johannesburg Parent and Child Counselling Centre (JPCCC) for over 18 months and has worked with both children and adults in addressing issues concerning divorce, trauma, loss and bereavement, physical/emotional/sexual abuse.

Julie has also worked at Houghton Primary School from 2011 and has assisted children with bereavement/ loss counselling; trauma; divorce; classroom behavioural problems; academic underachievement due to emotional problems; sexual abuse; family violence and physical abuse; depression and suicide (where pathologies manifest, pupils are referred either to a clinical psychologist or psychiatrist).

Her skill set includes Family Therapy, Crisis Intervention and Teaching.
