Dr André de Villiers and his team are committed to providing expert orthodontic care in a welcoming environment. With extensive experience and a strong academic background, Dr de Villiers tackles even the most challenging orthodontic cases. Dr de Villiers earned his BChD from the University of Stellenbosch before completing specialist training at the Forsyth Dental Centre in Boston, USA. He obtained a Certificate in Orthodontics from the Harvard School of Dental Medicine/Forsyth Dental Centre and a Master of Medical Science degree from Harvard Medical School in 1988.

Beyond private practice, Dr de Villiers takes pride in being part of the teaching team at the University of the Western Cape’s Postgraduate Orthodontic Programme. He is also a member of the South African Society of Orthodontists (SASO) and the American Association of Orthodontists (AAO) and is registered with the Health Professions Council of South Africa (HPCSA).

Children & Adolescents

Early orthodontic evaluations help identify potential crowding and bite issues in children as young as seven. While immediate treatment may not always be necessary, assessing their dental development early allows for optimal treatment planning.

• Clear Braces: Made from a translucent material, they provide a more aesthetic alternative. The elastic ties over the brackets may discolour over time, but they can be changed at each visit.
