A Life Planner System That Actually Works

A Life Planner System That Actually Works

Simple. ADHD-friendly. Easy to stick to.

Tired of complicated planners that just add to the chaos? This system is different. It’s made for real life—especially if you have ADHD, anxiety, or just too much going on. This is a life planner system that actually works.

It’s visual, easy to manage, and built to keep you focused without feeling overwhelmed.

What it is

A colour-coded planning board in Notion with three main categories:

🟥 RED – Urgent (Do this now)
🟦 BLUE – Important (Can wait a bit)
🟩 GREEN – Done (You did it)

That’s it. Just move tasks from red or blue to green. Simple and satisfying.

How it works

  1. Monthly Planning
    – Choose 3–5 main goals for the month
    – Add them to RED or BLUE
    – Break big goals into smaller tasks
  1. Weekly Focus
    Every Sunday or Monday, pick:
    – 3 RED tasks
    – 2–3 BLUE tasks
That’s your plan for the week. No more.
  1. Daily Action
    – Check your board
    – Start with RED tasks
    – Move to BLUE when ready
    – Drag to GREEN when done

Extra options (if you want)

Add extra columns for:

  • Personal (Home, errands, self-care)
  • Work / Career
  • Health / Wellness

Only use the columns you need. Hide the ones you don’t need, or aren’t using.

Each task can include:

  • Task name
  • Colour (Red, Blue, or Green)
  • Optional due date
  • Notes or checklist (optional)

Why it works (especially for ADHD)

  1. Clear colour system = no decision fatigue
  2. Only 1 board = less stress
  3. Visual progress = more motivation
  4. Small weekly focus = more consistency
  5. Updates once a day = no constant switching
  6. You stay in control without burning out.

Optional: reflect weekly

Want to build better habits? Add a “Reflection” section and write down:

  • What worked
  • What didn’t
  • One small win

Final thoughts

You don’t need more lists. You need a system that fits your brain. This planner can help you stay focused, feel accomplished, and actually finish what you start.
