About Us

The only thing we ever truly own in this world is our story. While we may not have control over how our stories began or how they will end, we have the power to shape what happens in between.

Our pasts have shaped, shattered, and shaken us in countless ways. We’ve faced setbacks, made mistakes, hurt others, and been hurt ourselves. But there comes a point when we recognise the importance of owning our stories in a way that helps us move forward.

Mental Matters was born out of the frustration of feeling alone in the struggle. We are a group of normal people who once felt overwhelmed by self-doubt and questioned our sanity and worth in the face of comments like “you’re crazy” or “you’re being too sensitive.”

Mental health matters deeply to us, and we believe in the importance of creating safe spaces for open and honest conversations.

As Brene Brown wisely said, “You are imperfect, you are wired for struggle, but you are worthy of love and belonging.”
