Linda Brash | Clinical Psychologist – Gardens, Cape Town

About Linda Brash

Welcome, I’m Linda Brash, a Clinical Psychologist practising from the Medi-Spa on Kloof Street in Cape Town. With years of experience, I am dedicated to providing therapy that truly resonates with each individual’s needs. I believe therapy should be practical, flexible, and adaptable, as no two people are alike. My approach, rooted in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), is specifically centred around Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), which has proven effectiveness in treating a wide array of mental health challenges.

Having completed my undergraduate degree at the University of Cape Town and an Honours degree through UNISA, I went on to earn my Master’s in Clinical Psychology at Stellenbosch University. My clinical training included invaluable rotations at esteemed institutions such as Red Cross Children’s Hospital, Groote Schuur Hospital, and Valkenberg Hospital. This hands-on experience has deeply influenced my practical, client-centred approach to therapy.

Before becoming a psychologist, I worked in IT, brand management, and advertising, providing me with a unique understanding of the corporate world and the pressures it entails.

Services Offered

I provide both in-person and virtual therapy options, making it easier for you to access the support you need, whether you’re dealing with anxiety, depression, chronic pain, or relationship struggles.

Individual Therapy

I offer tailored therapy that focuses on your specific goals and needs. Using ACT, I help clients gain insight into their thoughts and behaviours while teaching them practical tools to address challenges. I specialise in anxiety, mood disorders, OCD, and specific phobias. Sessions are available in person at my practice on Kloof Street or online via Zoom.

Couples Therapy

Couples often face unique challenges that require specialised attention. I use ACT to help couples understand the dynamics of their relationships and develop effective communication strategies. Whether you’re experiencing communication issues, intimacy problems, or unresolved conflict, I can support you in reconnecting and strengthening your relationship. In-person and virtual consultations are available.

Employee Wellness

With a background in corporate wellness, I understand the importance of mental health in the workplace. I have experience as an in-house psychologist at Allan Gray, where I provided mental health support for employees. I offer therapy tailored to workplace challenges, including stress, burnout, conflict resolution, and work-life balance. For more details, feel free to get in touch.
