At Olive Branch Trauma Centre, we are dedicated to helping individuals, couples, and families navigate trauma, emotional challenges, and relationship difficulties. Led by Dr B. L. Wade, our practice offers expert counselling services designed to promote healing and personal growth.
With a background in physiotherapy, psychology, social work, and family therapy, Dr Wade brings a unique, holistic approach to therapy. Her journey into trauma counselling was shaped by personal experiences and academic research, including a Doctorate in Trauma from Unisa (2005). Inspired by the work of Victor Frankl, she believes that individuals can find strength and reach their full potential not in spite of suffering, but because of it.
At Olive Branch Trauma Centre, we create a safe, empathetic, and supportive environment where clients can process their pain and begin their journey toward healing.
Trauma can have lasting effects on both the mind and body. We use somatic experiencing, an innovative approach that helps clients process trauma through body awareness and nervous system regulation. This method is particularly effective in treating:
