Description

Johannesburg Parent & Child Counselling Centre – Mental Health Service Johannesburg

About Us

Established in 1944 as the Johannesburg Child Guidance Clinic, the Johannesburg Parent and Child Counselling Centre (JPCCC) has been dedicated to providing counselling and guidance to children and parents dealing with emotional and developmental challenges. Over the decades, our organisation has expanded its reach, and today we proudly operate under the name of the Johannesburg Parent and Child Counselling Centre. We offer our services throughout Gauteng, with premises in Soweto and Parktown.

In line with the Children’s Act of South Africa and contemporary philosophies on child and family care, we focus on the preservation and strengthening of family life. Early detection and intervention in family and child challenges are central to building stronger, healthier communities. At JPCCC, we understand the vital role family support plays in the development and well-being of children and aim to address the psycho-social impacts of various societal challenges.

Our services address a broad spectrum of issues, including the psycho-social impact of HIV/AIDS, poverty, bereavement, divorce, separation, custody disputes, marital problems, unemployment, depression, anxiety, work-related stress, and other emotional and psychological difficulties.
