Dr A Ahyow GP Leicester provides expert, compassionate healthcare to individuals and families in the local community. Our mission is to deliver accessible, personalised care that prioritises your well-being. Whether you need general medical support, chronic care, or travel health advice, our skilled team is ready to help every step of the way.
We offer a broad range of clinical services to meet your needs. For example, our nurses assist with managing asthma, diabetes, and cardiovascular conditions. In addition, we offer cervical smears, wound dressing, well man and well woman checks, and sexual health screenings. Moreover, we provide B12 and Zoladex injections, flu vaccines, and smoking cessation support.
Scheduling an appointment is easy and efficient. You can book online or call the practice directly. Likewise, repeat prescriptions can be managed digitally. As a result, staying on top of your health has never been more convenient.
We actively encourage patients to share their experiences and suggestions. Therefore, we offer regular surveys, the Friends & Family Test, and our Patient Participation Group (PPG). In particular, the PPG gives patients the opportunity to help shape our services and care model.
Some services are not covered by the NHS. For instance, medical letters, private reports, and travel vaccines may incur charges. GPs like Dr A Ahyow are self-employed and must cover the cost of non-NHS services. Consequently, fees apply to ensure fair, sustainable care. Our fee list is available for full transparency.
We support families with childhood immunisation clinics, held twice a month. Furthermore, child health surveillance is carried out in collaboration with health visitors. Expectant and new mothers are also supported through midwife appointments and post-natal checks with Dr Ahyow. Chaperones are available on request.
Planning to travel? Collect a Travel Health Questionnaire from the practice. Once completed, our nurse will assess your destinations and medical history. Subsequently, we’ll advise on the vaccinations you need to stay safe abroad.
