About Us

YCS Counselling Wales was founded in 2011 by a small group of therapists with a clear vision: to make therapy accessible for those who may struggle to find support. The charity is now registered and located centrally in Cardiff. We have an accessible building with a variety of comfortable therapy rooms designed to suit our clients’ needs.

Since the COVID pandemic, we have been working hard to rebuild and expand our services. Our goal is to continue supporting the community and providing quality therapy to those who need it most.

Our Services

At YCS, we offer a range of services aimed at improving the mental and emotional well-being of individuals, couples, and families. Our experienced therapists provide a safe, confidential environment for clients to address a variety of issues.

Our services include:

• Low-Cost Counselling: We provide affordable counselling to individuals who may not have access to private therapy. Our aim is to ensure that everyone has the opportunity to receive professional support.

• Therapy for Adults and Children: We offer therapy for both adults and children, helping them manage their emotional and psychological needs. Starting in 2025, we will expand our services to include child-focused counselling.

• Couples Therapy: Our skilled therapists work with couples to resolve conflicts, improve communication, and strengthen relationships.

• Family Therapy: We support families in addressing issues such as communication problems, conflicts, and emotional challenges. Our goal is to help families reconnect and build healthier relationships.

• Supervision and CPD Training: For those in the therapeutic field, we provide supervision and continuous professional development training. This helps therapists enhance their skills and stay up to date with best practices.

• Private Room Rental for Therapists: We offer room rental options for therapists who wish to see clients at our accessible centre.
