About the Clinic

As the flagship location of the PhysioNeeds group, Nottingham Sports Injury Clinic holds a long-standing reputation for excellence in physiotherapy. Founded in 1995 and now part of a group of three clinics across Nottinghamshire, it continues to lead in musculoskeletal treatment and sports rehabilitation.

Since January 2024, the clinic has been under the ownership of Abigail Tomlinson and her husband, Stephen. Abigail, a dedicated and passionate physiotherapist, now serves as the clinic owner and clinical lead. Her journey with physiotherapy began in childhood, inspired by her mother—who originally launched the PhysioNeeds brand. Abigail’s vision is to continue this legacy, ensuring the clinic remains a welcoming and effective space for recovery.

She graduated with first-class honours in Physiotherapy from Northumbria University, one of the UK’s top institutions for this field. Since 2014, Abigail has worked across both the Nottingham Sports Injury Clinic and the East Bridgford location. Her career has evolved with continuous professional development, ensuring patients benefit from the most current and effective treatments available.
