Dr Natalie Chua Clinical Psychologist London offers a compassionate, integrative, and evidence-based approach to mental health care. With ten years of experience in the field, Dr Chua provides specialist support to individuals aged 17 and up. She blends Eastern and Western psychological traditions with mindfulness, self-compassion, and yoga-based practices to help her clients heal and grow.
Dr Chua holds a Doctorate in Clinical Psychology and a Master of Arts in Psychology and Education, with a concentration in Spirituality and Mind-Body Practice. She is a Certified Yoga Teacher (200 hours) and a qualified teacher of Mindfulness and Self-Compassion. In addition, she is accredited by the HCPC and actively maintains her memberships in professional bodies.
Her diverse qualifications reflect her belief that healing must address the body, mind, heart, and the mystery of human experience. She brings all of her training into her therapeutic work.
Dr Chua has extensive experience supporting individuals recovering from eating disorders and disordered eating. She has worked in inpatient, outpatient, and day patient services across the NHS and private sector. She collaborates closely with individuals, families, and caregivers to provide tailored, specialist care.
In each setting, Dr Chua combines her clinical expertise with warmth and empathy. She helps clients understand their struggles, build resilience, and move towards sustained recovery.
In addition to her eating disorder specialism, Dr Chua works with clients facing a range of psychological challenges. These include depression, anxiety, grief, perfectionism, life transitions, chronic self-criticism, and relational difficulties.
She draws on a range of therapeutic modalities, including Schema Therapy, Somatic Psychotherapy, Transpersonal Psychology, and Third Wave CBT approaches such as ACT, DBT, and CFT.
Dr Chua believes each person’s healing journey is unique. She listens carefully to every client’s strengths, struggles, and goals. Then, she offers insight and guidance, rooted in both science and intuition.
She values the therapeutic relationship above all. Together with her clients, she creates a safe space where they can feel seen, heard, and held as they explore the roots of their difficulties.
Dr Chua’s practice is informed by current research. Her co-authored 2022 publication in Clinical Psychology & Psychotherapy explored the use of Voice Dialogue in anorexia treatment. She stays actively engaged with new insights from psychology and neuroscience.
Through ongoing study and reflection, she continues to refine her approach—integrating the clinical, the creative, and the contemplative to support deep and lasting transformation.
