Jennie Wickenden-Walsh Psychotherapist Chelmsford brings over two decades of experience to her practice. Since 2004, she has been based at the Priory Hospital Chelmsford, working with individuals and couples on a wide range of emotional and psychological issues. She offers a holistic, integrative approach to therapy that addresses the mind, body, and spirit.
Jennie believes therapy must adapt to each client’s unique needs. That’s why she integrates multiple approaches to create a supportive, structured, and personalized space. Her therapeutic style balances compassion with direction. As a result, clients feel heard, respected, and motivated toward lasting change.
She places special emphasis on trauma recovery and transpersonal relationship work. Whether you are healing from past abuse or looking to improve relationship dynamics, Jennie offers insightful guidance rooted in professional depth and personal authenticity.
Jennie has worked with complex trauma for many years. Her training in EMDR (levels 1–3 and Europe Accreditation) allows her to work with trauma gently but effectively. Clients dealing with PTSD, childhood wounds, or anxiety disorders find her approach both empowering and healing.
In addition to individual therapy, she is highly trained in transpersonal couples work. This deeper relational approach helps couples move beyond surface-level issues to uncover underlying patterns. Her work aims to foster stronger emotional connections and resolve deep-seated relational pain.
Jennie’s extensive qualifications back her clinical expertise. She holds the following credentials:
Integrated Psychotherapist Diploma
Supervisor Diploma
EMDR Accredited Supervisor/Consultant
BACP Accredited Counsellor/Psychotherapist
Inner Child Diploma
Master’s in Eating Disorders and Nutrition
Transpersonal Couples Diploma

Advanced Diploma in Integrative Counselling Supervision
Each qualification reflects her commitment to continuous learning and therapeutic excellence.
Whether supporting clients with eating disorders, anxiety, trauma, or complex relational struggles, Jennie’s warm and direct style creates space for real transformation. She empowers people to face their truth, heal with courage, and build healthier emotional lives. Above all, her mission is to offer insight, support, and tools that foster long-term wellbeing.
