Vanessa Matthews Waddington Integrative Psychotherapist Kent provides a compassionate, structured approach to therapy. With a firm grounding in multiple counselling models, I tailor each session to meet your unique emotional and psychological needs. My practice is built on integrity, trust, and respect, so you can speak freely and feel safe from the very first session.
I am a fully qualified integrative psychotherapist and counsellor. I hold registered membership with the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (MBACP), and I work within their ethical framework. As a result, you can expect safe, confidential, and professional therapy at all times.
Working integratively allows me to draw from a range of therapeutic models. For example, the person-centred approach focuses on active listening, empathy, and helping you feel truly heard. On the other hand, psychodynamic therapy delves into past experiences and emotional patterns that may be influencing your present. Whichever path we take, the goal is the same—supporting your healing in a way that is right for you.

I joined the Priory Hospital Hayes Grove in April 2022, offering therapy to both individuals and couples. This placement complements my private practice and allows me to support clients in a structured, clinical setting.
My training includes a Level 4 Diploma in Integrative Counselling from the Counselling and Psychotherapy Training Academy in Bromley. I also hold Levels 2 and 3 in Therapeutic Counselling Skills from Learning and Enterprise College Bexley. In addition, I’ve completed training in Compassion Focused Therapy (CFT) and couples therapy in 2023.
