Olivia Farrell CBT Therapist Manchester provides specialised cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT) for individuals facing anxiety, depression, obsessive compulsive disorder (OCD), and post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD). Olivia Farrell has served as a CBT therapist on Dunham Ward’s general therapy programme since 2021. She previously worked across all three inpatient wards at Priory. As a therapist, Olivia offers one-to-one assessments and supports inpatients during their admission. Additionally, she facilitates CBT essential skills and stress management groups that incorporate mindfulness and relaxation techniques. Olivia graduated from Manchester Metropolitan University with a BSc in psychology in 2020. Following this, she earned a Masters degree in psychological wellbeing in clinical practice in 2021. Currently, she pursues a postgraduate diploma in cognitive behavioural psychotherapies at the University of Bolton. This continuous learning ensures Olivia stays updated with the latest therapy techniques. Therefore, her clients benefit from evidence-based practices delivered with professionalism.
During her studies, Olivia conducted research into social media’s impact on male body image and self-esteem. She also investigated how the 2020 lockdown affected autistic individuals as part of her Masters degree. These research interests deepen her understanding of diverse mental health issues. Consequently, Olivia can adapt CBT therapy to meet individual client needs more effectively.
