Sophie Hawkesworth Therapist Manchester is a dedicated and passionate trainee cognitive behavioural therapist based at Priory Hospital Altrincham. She brings a strong academic background and hands-on clinical experience to her role, which helps her provide thoughtful, structured, and compassionate mental health support. She is currently consolidating her hours to qualify as a full CBT therapist and is fully engaged in supporting both individual and group treatment plans.
As part of her training, Sophie contributes to Priory’s inpatient general programme. She actively participates in assessments, discharge planning, and multidisciplinary team meetings. This involvement allows her to maintain a dynamic connection between patient care and professional collaboration. Above all, she ensures a smooth transition for clients from inpatient to outpatient services, either one-to-one or in group formats.
Sophie’s work consistently reflects a person-centred approach, rooted in her academic background and real-world clinical exposure. She tailors her therapeutic strategies to meet each client’s individual needs, always promoting resilience and recovery.
Sophie’s journey in healthcare began with her undergraduate degree from King’s College London, which she completed in 2018. This foundation gave her a thorough understanding of holistic care. She is now pursuing a Master’s Degree in Cognitive Behavioural Psychotherapy at the University of Salford, scheduled for completion in December 2022.
Her educational background supports her deep interest in mental health. It also reflects her commitment to evidence-based therapy and continuous learning. Sophie applies her training in a practical setting daily, giving her clients the benefit of up-to-date techniques and fresh perspectives.
Sophie offers a growing range of mental health services, tailored to each client’s condition and goals. These services are rooted in cognitive behavioural therapy and are designed to support individuals through challenges with:
