Anna de Vreede CBT Psychotherapist Birmingham offers expert, compassionate care grounded in advanced education and real-world experience. I hold a Master’s degree in cognitive behavioural psychotherapy and currently maintain provisional accreditation with the BABCP. This background allows me to deliver informed, evidence-based support to clients facing various mental health challenges.
My Master’s dissertation involved an autoethnographic study that critically reflected on the impact of sexual abuse within family systems. This research deepened my understanding and drives my commitment to bring specialist knowledge into my practice. Furthermore, voluntary work in this field has enhanced my ability to empathize with clients and approach therapy with sensitivity and insight.
I completed a Master’s degree in Cognitive Behavioural Psychotherapy focusing on adult clients. As a relational therapist, I provide a warm, professional, and empathetic approach. My goal is to create a safe, supportive environment where clients can explore their past, present, and future concerns.
I apply an integrative approach tailored to each individual. This flexibility allows me to adapt therapy methods based on what clients bring into the sessions. I believe therapy should feel collaborative. Together, we explore solutions that help you manage your day-to-day life with greater ease and confidence.
My greatest strength lies in establishing strong therapeutic alliances. For years, I worked as a mentor with young people aged 11-18, honing my communication skills. This experience helped me break down barriers to learning and motivation. As a result, clients and students alike have seen improvements in self-esteem and confidence.
I emphasize self-compassion and kindness. These qualities support a healthier relationship with yourself, fostering increased self-worth and emotional resilience. I openly share psychological theories, ensuring therapy remains transparent and evidence-based.
I provide a wide range of mental health treatments tailored to individual needs. These include private CAMHS sessions and support for conditions such as:
Anxiety
Body Dysmorphic Disorder (BDD)
Depression
Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD)
Phobias
Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD)
Self-harm
Sexual dysfunction
Sleep disorders (insomnia)
Stress
Above all, I adhere strictly to the Ethical Framework of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP). This commitment guarantees an open, honest, and respectful therapeutic environment.
