Beth Tudgay Psychotherapist Birmingham brings expert care and understanding to every client. She currently works at Priory Hospital Woodbourne and has dedicated over two years to helping patients heal and grow. As the therapy lead at Woodbourne, Beth combines her skills with compassion. Moreover, she holds accreditation from the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP), ensuring professional and ethical standards in her practice.
Beth’s strong academic background supports her clinical expertise. She completed an MSc in Counselling and Psychotherapy at Keele University (2017-2018). Additionally, she earned a Graduate Diploma with Commendation in Psychology from Birmingham City University (2014-2015). Prior to that, she studied Psychology and Criminology at the same university, obtaining a BA (Hons) degree in 2014. Importantly, Beth also trained in Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing (EMDR), equipping her to treat trauma effectively.
Beth provides person-centred therapy that empowers individuals to connect deeply with their emotions. Her sessions follow a non-directive style, meaning clients lead the pace and focus of each meeting. Consequently, this creates a safe space for processing distress without judgment. By understanding each person’s unique experience, Beth helps clients navigate challenges from their own perspective. This approach promotes genuine healing and personal growth.
Beth offers private CAMHS (Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services) alongside treatment for various conditions. Her expertise covers anger management, anxiety, autism, bereavement, depression, gender dysphoria, personality disorders, phobias, PTSD, and schizophrenia. She adapts her methods to suit individual needs, ensuring tailored support for each client.
